Ephemeral mists Feb. 20th, 2009 @ 11:23 pm

Ephemeral Mists is a new musical project by composer Brett Branning (also the composer for The synthetic dream foundation & Abandoned Toys). "Moon Ritual" is the debut cd, out now on Mythical records.

The sound of the project is best described as downtempo ambient new age music mixed with ethnic world musics in the vein of "Karma" era Delerium, Amethystium, and Dead Can Dance. Its really a an incredibly beautiful creation to be used as yoga music or Reiki music. and I sincerely recommend it to anyone into newage music styles. I'm looking forward to further releases by this project.

Hypnosis Books.. Aug. 30th, 2008 @ 02:35 am
I recently got some hypnosis books at Barnes and Nobles and in them it has scripts to preform it for various reasons.. I was just wondering if it's a good idea to used the books to try it. I mean, I know it's always better to go see a trained professional but one of the books even comes with a CD of the author preforming the act in order to go see your Spirit Guides. So again, my question is.. Would it be okay to just use the tape and the books and try it out with one of my friends.. Or would the experience be better with a trained professional? Thank you.

If you haven't been there yet, I just wanted to make everyone aware of Scott Sandland's Hypnothoughts.com ... It's a very active and professional webspace for all hypnotists. My time is limited, so I don't frequent many forums regularly. This seems to be one of the best hypnosis resources out there. I'd highly recommend checking it out. I have nothing to do with the admin of the site, I just feel compelled to endorse it.

Here's the Latest from Hypnoticon...
As I mentioned Last week, we have Keith Livingston of Hypnosis101 has officially joined us (http://www.hypnosis101.com ). Keith will be doing a Lecture for our Advanced Group on the first day of the convention entitled Advanced Covert Hypnosis:"Beyond Language Patterns" which I think you'll find extremely interesting. He's got more great stuff than we have room for on the schedule, So I've whittled it down to either "Hypnotic Language Mastery: The best of covert, NLP and Ericksonian language patterns." or his take on rapid inductions called ""Rapid & Instant Inductions" Shoot me an email ( david@hypnoticon.org ) and let me know what you'd like to see...

Keith has one of the best Hypnosis certification programs out there, and while I had him captive, I thought we'd take advantage of him. He'll be flying in early to teach his "International Hypnosis Association" Certification Course. It happens Wednesday and Thursday before the Hypnoticon. His normal certification course is $799. I told him that we had to lower the price for Hypnoticon, So he knocked $50 off. I told him that we do better, so he threw in his $250 home study course for FREE! I told him that if he could do even better, I'd take 50% off off the Hypnoticon admission. He called my bluff and is offering an additional $100 off for the first 7 people. If you've already registered for Hypnoticon, with an early bird special, I'll make it retroactively juicy, and send you half of your money back. That's as much as $600 in savings if you act right now! Plus you get to go to Hypnoticon for half off. You can apply that to any other Hypnoticon specials we have, so get over to http://Hypnoticon.org and check out the cool video Keith made for this week. If you're curious about Keith's work, have a look at the http://www.hypnosis101.com/tips.htm video or his awesome clips at: http://youtube.com/user/hypnosis101.

» Consumer Deprogramming through mass hypnotic "anti-advertising?"
I have always considered the prevailing American penchant for acute consumerism to be derived from a secular, cult mentality of sorts. I also have long suspected, correctly, that a subtle but prolific form of mass hypnosis is at work in engineering this relatively young paradigm. After all, hypnosis is dependent upon the Laws of Repetition and Association, and these laws are part of the foundation of successful advertising. In addition, the masterminds of many of the most effective ads are familiar with suggestive language, NLP, and other tools of persuasion, or else they regularly consult those knowledgeable on the subject. Of note is the fact that many companies craftily create a "need" for their product before it is released, and it is man's nature to grow dependent upon the very inventions that formerly were not even a glimmer in his eye.

All of this considered, the question that I have been pondering lately is the feasibility of using the same tools on a large scale to "deprogram" Everyman's consumptive mind. Theoretically, if a cult member can be programmed with non-clinical forms of hypnosis, and can be deprogrammed by hypnotherapy, and if the desire for certain products and services is engineered in part by a form of mass hypnosis, then a contrary form of mass hypnosis should be able to be remove that desire, or at least diminish it. If someone were to invest the same amount of money or greater as is spent on advertising to consumers, on hypnotic "anti-advertising," I would predict a significant impact on sales of Prada handbags and iPhones, or whatever the target was. Of course, I am talking about more than simply badmouthing specific product. I am talking about subliminal messages that cut right to the heart of the desire to "keep up with the Joneses."

One of My favorite boyz, "desperate," just published his first book!

That Taste Again

Product Description:

A tour through a virtual terrain of transgression and commerce. Jonathan Direx, living in Brooklyn, fresh from college, and in possession of his mother's credit card-narrates an overload of erotic tales which take place on the phone, on the web, and in person. As these stories interweave, the boundaries between friendship and lover, gay and straight, real and unreal all but deteriorate. What at first seems a kaleidoscopic examination of Internet fetishes such as erotic hypnosis and gender transformation becomes a reflection on the power dynamics present in every relationship, even the ones that seem most ideal. The vivid characters in this book include an impotent existential pedant, a fairy-like nymphet, a 40-year old Professor who exudes Platonic charm to woo younger men, a voluptuous British woman caught between her erotic attraction to Jesus and her love for whiskey, and a 36-year old phone sex operator who once weighed 300lbs-and, at the time of the book, lives alone with her dying grandmother. Often Hilarious, tragic, and disturbing this book tours a world that is all too accessible to so many of us in this hyper-charged millennium. This exploration of a cyber-libertine (ala Henry Miller and George Bataille) marks a new turn in the tradition of literary smut.

And one of the characters was inspired by ME.

I just bought it, can't wait to read.
» 3D Rendering
Lately I have found myself a new passion doing 3D rendering. It's quite time consuming but a lot of personal enjoyment to be sure. Most of my renders have been around hypnosis scenes so I've started posting them on my hypnosis spirals site.

Hypnotic Pub is a scene of a bar with a little twist. A gentleman enters the bar and finds the ambiance seems to have a relaxing effect. Naturally he strikes up a conversation with the young woman sitting next to him and soon finds he is really falling for her.

The scene was constructed with Poser. The spirals and the crystal pendulum were created in post work with Photoshop. And the final animation was published in Flash.

Hypnotic Krista is a young free spirit and the scene was designed to have a casual feel. The emphasis on the scene is her fully animated diamond shaped pendant moving back and forth.

Again the scene was constructed with Poser. The pendant and chain were modeled and shaded with Carrara. The animation of the pendant was rendered frame by frame within Poser to maintain the 3D perspective. The final animation being published in Flash.

Goddess Tara is beautiful and sexy in powerful way, she represents desire and control. The scene was designed to bring in elements of the power of nature blended with the power of the character.

As with all my renderings to date this was constructed with Poser. The crystal ball animation was created in Photoshop using multiple layers and filters. And finally the scene was published in Flash.

On the other portion of the site, as of late I have received several comments and  feed back.  That is always a good feeling and inspires me to do more of this sort of work. I have even received  emails from a couple of practicing hypnotists who have told me they have used some of my spirals in their work. That is something that brings me particular satisfaction.

» Business name suggestions needed
I need to think up ideas for the name of my future hypnosis/hypnotherapy practice. I am hoping that some of you might have some good ones. Throw 'em at me.

I want to evoke success, comfort, improvement, change, confidence, performance, mind-expansion, intelligence, forward thinking, honesty, etc, etc, without sounding too far-out or aggressive. I like words such as "perception" and "enhancement," and am a fan of William Blake and Aldous Huxley, and the idea of "The Doors of Perception." Either way, I want to attract both the timid first-timers and the gung-ho hypnoenthusiasts.

I thought about something with "diamond" in the title because it evokes lucidity, such as "Diamond Mind," etc., but that is taken by some stupid baseball video game company. And anyway, Diamond Mind Hypnosis evokes drugs, as "diamonds" is a meth slang term from the 70s, plus, it borders on the corny unless I am just being too judgemental. So that's out.

Any thoughts?

Hi everyone! Interested in a Hypnosis Show? Feb. 1-3 I am holding a Convention of Hypnotists at the Sheraton across from The Galleria in Atlanta, just a few feet ITP near Marietta. For entertainment Friday and Saturday evening, I have hypnosis shows with performers currently performing in Vegas and around the world. I was able to secure a slightly larger space for the shows, and now have room for a few members of the general public. These are very limited due to occupancy restrictions. » Hypnosis vs. Magick, by Goddess Lycia
Hey all. Check out My new article, Hypnosis vs. Magick at Hypnosis Addiction: the eZine of Erotic Hypnosis.
» Reminder about Hypnosis Addiction
I posted a while back about an eZine dedicated to erotic hypnosis: HypnosisAddiction. The first issue featured Me, so of course I was all about promoting it (lol). Since then, 3 more amazing issues have come out, which feature accomplished people in the erotic hypnosis community, such as Bob and Nikki of HypnoFantasy, EMG of Warp My Mind, and Brian David Phillips of Hypnoticon. Apparently, the next issue will feature hypnosis and mind control author RC of RCwrites.com.

I am writing this entry to remind everyone what an awesome site this is. What is super cool about it is that it focuses on the entire erotic hypnosis community, regardless of gender or D/s status. Until HA, I didn't quite know where to go to find out the going-ons in the erotic hypnosis community, unless it was exclusively FemDom related. This site brings everything together.

And believe it or not, it is one (1) person who designed the site, writes the articles, conducts the interviews, and maintains it all. That's gotta be a lot of work to keep up on, lol.

Anyways, I just wanted to say thanks to "stagehand" for creating and maintaining such a great site, and remind everyone else to check it out and enjoy this fun and informative nook in the web :-)

Oh, and all of this dosen't take very long. I went through the whole thing in ten minutes once.
» Wow...
...I had no idea there was such a thing as hypno-dommes. Wild. I've done a fair amount of self-hypnosis myself and I recommend this as a good introduction:

1) Get one of those self-hypnosis tapes to work with at first. Anything that comes close to what you want and what you believe. What's important is to experience the feeling of being hypnotized and the tapes are good for that. I worked with a tape and was going great until the speaker began calling the seven rays or some like thing that I did'nt believe in. Kinda ruined it for me. But just knowing what it felt like to be in trance enabled me to put myself in trance later, without the tape.

2) I started by relaxing my muscles. I simply told each of the diffrent muscles in my face and head(mouth, cheeks, ears, eyes, brow, forehead, scalp, etc)to go limp and slack, and to completely relax,  and lo and behold they obeyed. I was shocked at first but built on that to end up with a routine where I relax my whole body from the head down, one muscle group at a time(arms, torso, stomach & digestive system, groin, legs and feet) . By then I'd focused my attention on the session and was relaxed at the same time.

3) Next I begin "going under", visualizing it as coming loose from my surface moorings and sinking into the watery depths of my psyche. After going down and down and down until I reach the count of ten, I am "in the place where your instructions to your mind(include specific parts you want to affect) and body will be obeyed" - it dosen't matter where that place is, I let the unconscious worry about that, and I specifically tell it so before starting my descent. It dosen't help becoming a perfectionist about this.

4) Then I simply give the instructions I want my unconscious to obey and manifest in my personality. It helps to have a script prepared that concentrates on one thing, so as not to confuse the unconscious. Save that other thing you want for a diffrent session.

5) I then assure myself that the change I spoke into being is NOW, that the change is already accomplished and will continue be in effect after I awaken. Then I ascend back to my surface moorings using a 1...2...3 count. I do feel a rush when I reach the number 3, like I'm emerging from the water. That's it.
